Basic Types of Restoration Products

There are two basic types of roof restoration products: acrylic and polyurethane. U.S. Ply's acrylic and polyurethane products can be group in the following ways...

All Season SEBS^* Coatings (urethane)

The All Season product is a 50% solids, proprietary blend of SEBS polymers and a solvent carrier designed for spray, brush, or roller application. It is designed to dry by evaporation, leaving a non-breathing, high-strength, and a highly-elastic membrane. It is also designed to provide superior heat reduction, cold weather flexibility, and chemical, weather, and water resistance. Its bright white finish helps reduce surface temperatures, thereby minimizing thermal expansion and contraction, providing for a long-lasting and preventative solution for the renewal and maintenance of many roof types, including metal, modifieds, built-ups, TPO, PVC, and EPDMs.

* SEBS stands for Styrene Ethylbutylene Styrene (elastomeric material)

Energy Coatings (acrylic)

The Energy Coatings serve a similar function as the All Season product. The major difference is that acrylic coatings do not tend to hold up well under ponding water. Therefore, acrylics also tend to be less expensive than their polyurethane counterpart.
